Two Brains, One Powerful Pedal
Gary’s split personality is evident in its layout and controls, offering you two distinct effects in one:
- Right Brain: A pulse-width modulation fuzz that morphs from thick, sustain-heavy fuzz into snarling square wave chaos. The Yes! control adjusts sensitivity, allowing you to dynamically shape the fuzz based on your playing attack, while Oosh sets the fuzz side’s master volume.
- Left Brain: A warm, natural overdrive based on the classic EarthQuaker Gray Channel. The Go knob controls the overdrive’s gain, from a clean boost to a saturated, op-amp distortion. Use That’s It for volume, balancing the overdrive’s power to taste.
Expressive Pulse Width Control for Fuzz
Gary’s fuzz side also features an expression pedal input, giving you real-time control over pulse width. With an expression pedal connected, you can sweep the fuzz pulse for a constantly evolving sound that cuts through the mix. The Yes! knob remains active as a peak control, ensuring the pulse width stays in your preferred range.
