For decades, the music retail industry has operated on an outdated model, overpricing and overhyping gear to drive musicians into endless buying cycles. We know the frustration of wanting high-quality equipment without committing to heavy purchases. That’s why we created BuyOrBorrow Music—to provide a better way for musicians to access the gear they want, without the weight of ownership.

About Alex Auxier

"The best artist relations guy in the business," as regarded by his mom, Alex spent 14 years as AR/Social Media Manager for Orange amps before beginning a consulting career helping brands build meaningful artist and influencer alliances. Although a guitar industry veteran, he can't play a single lick. Instead, Alex prefers writing music and passably playing drums. His band, Aerosmith, was inducted into the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame.

Morgan has spent nearly two decades building relationships as a church leader and sales rep in industries from healthcare to luxury brands—think high-energy, lots of travel, and getting to know people from all walks of life. He has founded non-profits, and was on staff with after school program for underprivileged youth in Birmingham. On the creative side, he has a degree in Mass Comm and a background in art, video editing and plays the drums from time to time. Morgan also has a micro farm that he works with his wife and 4 kids.

Alex is the mastermind of making tech work for you, not the other way around. He’s all about building tools and products that feel as simple and satisfying as nailing that perfect riff. Whether he’s crafting strategies or coding up a storm, Alex’s mission is always the same: create experiences that rock.

When he’s not buried in lines of code, you’ll find him jamming out, dreaming up new ways to make BuyOrBorrow Music even more epic.

Hi, I’m Fábio, the Director of Operations at BuyOrBorrow Music. With over a decade of experience in operational management, I thrive on transforming complex challenges into seamless solutions. My focus? Ensuring our business runs like a perfectly tuned symphony, where every process, system, and team member works in harmony.

At BuyOrBorrow Music, I get to combine my love for music (listening, not playing—at least for now!) with my passion for problem-solving to create exceptional experiences for our members. I oversee day-to-day operations, streamline workflows, and collaborate with our talented team to help musicians discover their sound. Whether it’s designing scalable systems or fine-tuning the details of our processes, I’m committed to building an operation that truly resonates.

Outside of work, you’ll find me in the kitchen experimenting with new recipes or immersed in virtual worlds solving puzzles and tackling challenges. I bring that same creativity and precision to every aspect of my role, ensuring we always hit the right notes—both for our team and our members.

About Dave karr

Dave Karr, Founder of BuyOrBorrow Music, has been playing music for over 27 years. And along that journey he has bought, sold, and traded WAY more gear than he'd like to admit.

After spending over 15 years in corporate America, he set out to fundamentally change the way that musicians get their music gear. In 2021 he launched BuyOrBorrow Music, a totally new business model designed to empower musicians by providing affordable, on-demand access to music instruments and gear.

Dave is first and foremost a guitar player but also loves synthesis, recording, and production. He's an avid collector of vintage amps and owns 7 or 8 old Marshall's (he's lost count) as well as quite a few Fender and Vox amps as well. When he's not knee deep in running a startup business, you can find him around the office fiddling with pedals, synths, and always looking for the next cool piece of gear that's going to change the world.
