Blumes Jr MOSFET Mod: Bass Overdrive, Miniaturized
The EarthQuaker Devices Blumes Jr MOSFET Mod is a limited edition mini bass overdrive pedal that shrinks the Blumes Low Signal Shredder into a pedalboard-friendly mini enclosure and adds a brand-new clipping voice. Just 1,000 units are being built worldwide, each one handmade in Akron, Ohio, with special artwork exclusive to this run.
Blumes started as a Plumes reworked for bass, with double the gain and a deeper bass response so your low end stays fully intact. At lower gain settings you get the crunchy tone the original is known for, and once the Gain passes noon it opens up into thick, saturated low-end drive.
Three Voices for Low-End Grit
The three-way toggle gives you three distinct flavors. L uses symmetrical LED clipping for a crunchy, compressed, focused and articulate growl. N skips the clipping diodes for wide-open op-amp drive that works as a clean boost when you need more presence without more dirt. M is the new MOSFET Mod voice, replacing the screamer-style diode mode of the standard Blumes with a tight, harmonically rich overdrive that adds even more low end and responds like a cranked tube amp. The Tone control puts more bass to the left, more mids at noon and more treble to the right.
How It Fits Your Rig
Bass boards are often small and crowded, and the Blumes Jr takes up barely any real estate. Use L or M as an always-on drive to dig out from under loud guitars and crashing cymbals, kick on N to lift a fill or a chorus without changing your core tone, or run it straight into a DI for gritty recorded bass at home.

How is the Blumes Jr different from the standard Blumes?
It comes in a mini enclosure with special artwork, and the third mode now uses MOSFET clipping instead of the screamer-style silicon diodes. The L and N modes are the same as modes 1 and 2 on the full-size Blumes.
